Online play rules in Ontario
The poker room on level two at 40 Icomm Drive is a land-based card room, with professional dealers and chips on a real table. Online play in Ontario runs under its own rules, and the Level Two desk sets them out on this page.

The market
Ontario's regulated online market
Since April 4, 2022, online gambling in Ontario has been a regulated market. iGaming Ontario conducts and manages it; the AGCO is the regulator. A private site needs two things to be legal in the province: AGCO registration and an operating agreement signed with iGaming Ontario.
Before you ask which sites qualify: the directory of regulated sites is published at igamingontario.ca. OLG.ca stands apart from the private operators as the online casino of OLG, the provincial agency.
Two conditions apply to the player. Under Ontario law, online casino play is 19+, the same age rule that applies at the casino door on Icomm Drive. A player must also be physically located in Ontario to play on a regulated Ontario site.
Opting out
Opting out, online and on the floor
For online play, the single opt-out is BetGuard at betguard.ca, which iGaming Ontario has operated since May 14, 2026. One sign-up blocks every regulated Ontario gambling site, OLG.ca among them, for 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or a term the person sets. Land-based rooms are outside it, so the poker room on level two stays open to a BetGuard user.
The casino floor has its own program, OLG's My PlayBreak. It closes every Ontario casino to the person for 3 or 6 months or for 1 to 5 years, and the term runs to its end once chosen. Sign-up runs through the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098, staff on site, or a PlaySmart Centre.
This guide
How this guide's paid links work
This guide carries paid links on its home page and nowhere else, each one labelled Ad. They are the menu button, a block under the first screen and a last block near the bottom. All three go to the same private online casino partner, meant for adults who are physically in Ontario. The guide earns a commission from that partner.
The partner is not OLG.ca. It has no connection with Elements Casino Brantford, Great Canadian, OLG, iGaming Ontario, the AGCO, the Poker Atlas app or any help service. None of them pays this guide. The partner can change, so no page names it. Before you click, the directory at igamingontario.ca shows which online casinos are regulated in Ontario.
